Anything by errol morris is just great. 'The thin blue line' is a tremendous story about a man unjustly jailed for a murder in Texas. 'Mr. Death' was strange but good, and 'Fast, cheap, and out of control' was a trip.

I agree with Vincent, Crumb is superb.

On a political level, check out 'The war room' or 'the perfect candidate'. First one about clinton's path to the 1992 election, and the second about ollie north running for senate a few years later. I also just saw 'One day in September' which is about the munich olympics in 1972 and it is mindblowing. Definitely something not to miss.

Not really a documentary, but John Sayles movie 'Matewan' is about a real event and like most Sayles movies, is absolutely brilliant.

Good luck, documentaries are a blast, and michael moore rules!
