And before I get flamed beyond belief-hear me out, please.
CLERKS is one of my favorite films of all time, and after hearing about all the cool extras and stuff that would be packed onto the disc, including commentary and other cool stuff, I planned to buy it as soon as it came out.
Not since the monumental cockup of the Starship Troopers' "flipper" DVD disc (which needed to be flipped halfway into the film)had I seen a waste of DVD potential released in Australia.
The disc (released by Siren Entertainment) was a bad transfer, "pixelating" (little blocks appearing/vanishing on screen) the sound made popping sounds in several parts, and it was done in Dolby 2.0.
The price? AU$40! (approx US$20-25)
I don't know who authorised this DVD for sale, but I'm sure as hell not touching it with a 100-ft pole.
No extras, no commentary, nothing! At least the 1996 tape had a damn trailer!
If you want a decent distributor guys, make the disc through Village Roadshow (owned by Warner Bros) or something-Siren's been distributing bad B-movies and dud Anime since I can remember.
Please tell us you're going to release a better (special?) edition and melting these lemons?
