My name is Josiah Miller and I am a studen at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. I am also the host of an all comic book talk show here in the metroplex called "Fanboy Radio". On this program we talk about comic books and comic book news and information. Most of the show consists of my co-host and myself making fun of each other, but we also include hilarious segments. Some of these are called things like "The Great Debate," where we had two fanboys argue over whether or not western style art was better than eastern, or another segment we called the "Girlfriend Effect."
However, on each episode we feature an interview with a known creator in the business to give credibility to the medium and appreciation to that creator and comics in general. The show is designed to reach out to the people who read comics currently, but we are trying to capture the interests of those who don't.
Lately we have interviewed Joe Quesada, Brian Michael Bendis, Ghostwerks Comics, and are scheduled to have Todd McFarlane later this month. We would be honored if Kevin Smith could allow us to interview him for our show.
I have personally been a Kevin Smith fan since Clerks and was overwhelmingly excited to see him cross over into the realm of comics. As one of the biggest and hottest writers today, Kevin would be ideal for the show.
These interviews generally take about 20-30 minutes and can be done over the phone. They are professionally edited for quality and issues of content are never jeopardized.
Fanboy Radio has already become a success bigger than we could imagine. We are a non-profit station and are doing this show through our passion for comics. Everyday is exciting and to have Kevin Smith on our show would be, for me, a creative zenith.
