I never really did understand the lesbianism angle in Chasing Amy. Was Kevin trying to say that all of us are capable of having a meaningful sexual relationship with members of either sex, or was Alyssa just bisexual?
Either way, the main message of the film was that you shouldn't be hung up on your partner's past. And it certaintly WASN'T the message that you can turn a lesbian straight. People seem so hung up on that for some reason.
