... and we're all just looking for ways to fill up the days, aren't we?
I understand how you can find the fun in pictures. See- I have this page of pics of me that I link from my aol messenger. Then sometimes when I'm bored and in need of a little affirmation, I open up a chat room. I don't participate (I find no entertainment value in the meaningless exchanges of chat rooms), but inevitably people (males) will look in my profile and send me an instant message. I don't even respond to these people. I'll stay in there for about 10 to 15 minutes at a time, until I've gotten my fill of strangers telling me I'm pretty, or I have a nice smile.
Because it does feel good, certainly.
My real entertainment, however, has come from starting shit- this is true. Using a male name, I used to post on boards where I debated important stuff... drug laws, abortion, capital punishment, megan's law.... until the conservative southern police officers rode me out of there on a rail.
My husband was sitting by, shaking his head, as I started this crap with you. Not that he thought I was wrong, but he does think I might have a problem- this need for an argument.
And in the messsage board life, either you can really click with someone, and have a fun, interesting exchange... or you can fight with someone, and have a fun, interesting exchange.
I'm sorry I chose you to lash out at. I'm not really uptight, I promise. It just got under my skin. And in real life, you tend to bite your tongue when something annoys you. In real life, you don't have the liberty to be quite so bold.
I apologize for pushing my irritation as far as I did.
Peace,
Amy
