It's perfectly normal behaviour, and there's a good chance they'll grow out of it one day and assume their own personalities, if indeed they are blessed with any.
As for your friends talking through the film, that's just plain bad manners. It's a shame their parents didn't bring them up better. Still, they are only children, so they should mature at some point.
