I loved the movie, but a lot of people didn't get it as social commentary, just as violence for the sake of violence...However, several of my friends read the book and hated it, but enjoyed the movie..so I have not read it.
Rarely does a movie live up to the book, maybe To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the few exceptions...or The Firm a shitty movie, but a worse book..Grisham's a hack
