Battlefield: Earth had the potential to be a really good movie. Except that it was too rushed plot-wise. It needed to be about an hour longer and certain unbelievable plot points would need to be eliminated.
1.) Primitive people are going to learn to work an atomic bomb just by reading a manual?
2.) I think maybe the planes in that hanger might have deteriorated just a little bit over 1,000+ years. Not to mention, where the hell was the power for the flight simulator coming from? That didn't decay over 1,000+ years either?
3.) Primative people who looked at a map and expected there to be actual literal lines separating states learned how to fly 1,000+ year old fighter craft?
If they could have come up with a more believable way for the humans to beat the Psychlos (and come up with a better name for the "Psychlos), it could have been a kick-ass sci-fi flick. Alas, it was not to be.
