: Well, This is my first project and it is one headache after another. We are planning to start shooting in about a month and hopefully we will have enough time to take it to the St. Louis Independent Film Fest. in July. oh by the way a budget we have a killer 3,000. So, it is not even a B-rated movie maybe a Z.
If you're rushing to finish in time for the St. Louis IFF, then slow down a bit and make sure you're doing everything the best (and cheapest) that you can. Most films get screwed up when they're rushed, especially indies. It's far better to take your time (as is possible, you're on a budget, which still means you'll probably be working pretty fast - although that really applies to the production phase, right now you're in pre) and be prepared. That'll be casting, rehearsals, getting all your locations, more rehearsals, storyboards, etc. Getting this stuff set up now will save you money down the line. And there's always next year's festival.
Always,
