: blue is a luc besson film,
THE BIG BLUE was the Luc Besson film yr talking about and i've got that one too. i couldn't believe they actually used a film print (complete with those cigarette burn things to mark reel changes) to make the DVD... i wonder why they couldn't find something better.
:you bought the three colours trilogy you crazy monkey.
duh. that's why blue had the accompanying films of red and white... the only thing that would have accompanied The Big Blue is a copy of Subway. yuck... or La Femme Nikita.
: i am impressed you bought dvds without knowing what they actually were matey.
no, i am well aware of what they were (i even mentioned that i hadn't seen Blue since '95 in that last post)... i wouldn't have bought them had i not. i saw the whole trilogy several years ago. I just didn't remember the exact specifics of Blue offhand. When i say i haven't watched 'em i meant the DVDs which were just released in october... not the films themselves.
that paragraph included a whole lot of words which didn't really say much.
: the dvd debate rages on into the night like always.
what dvd debate? as long as i can watch films from outside region 1 i'm happy.
but i AM learning to hate the french. no subtitles on their DVDs... i don't speak french, but even french subtitles are helpful to understand what's going on. they don't even include those. what do the deaf in france do about watching movies? a shame, really.
