: Seriously, on watching the re-released "special editions" in the movies, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK was the ONLY one that held up for me and was a compelling viewing experience. The other two films just fell apart for me, but EMPIRE endured, so far above and beyond the other films in the trilogy, it feels like it belongs in a DIFFERENT series of films altogether.
But that's taking it a bit far.
