But that painting didn't really have anything to do with the actual movie, did it?

I believe the original question was a title that didn't have anything to do with the movie. A fucking painting that some masked douchebag looks at ain't my idea of relevant to the plot.

It's what a director does when he has a $120 million budget and wants to get all fucking bizarr-o in his artistic license.

I'll tell you what ruined Vanilla Sky for me. We never see Penelope Cruz's ASS on camera in a pure panties shot where you can see the outline of her poontang pushing through...oh, I'm sorry.
