i'm an episcopalian at St. Peter's Church in Mountain Lakes, NJ. i've tried to get the church to have kevin come and speak, being that our bishop (retired, jack spong) loved dogma and felt it had a lot to say. especially here. there was a priest who came from jamaica to speak about children and the church and religion and so forth, and he was really powerful speaker and said a lot of great things, and then when i went to speak to him, he brushed me off and treated me like a peasant begging for food. he was a real asshole. i've been to one of kevin's seminars over at bloomsburg u. and it was really cool, but i would love to see and hear him just plain discuss dogma and its significance and its meaning generally and personally.
i just think that's kinda neat, and if it wasn't for the fact that the people who run my church are so beurocratic and anti-catholic, we would've booked kevin for an appearance, too.
