The warrant itself is not the issue (although he has to come up with $50K because there's no 10% option). It's unlikely New Jersey will seek to extradite him on that kind of charge from CA anyway, so it would be best if he just flew back to NJ on his own volition and take care of it with his attorney.
He just needs to turn a few negative urine tests - that's what the court is mainly concerned about. If he can do that, the judge would likely be inclined to forget about his probation oversights. His successful acting career is something that a judge would view as favorable to his rehabilitation.
If I were a betting man, I would say that the VA crew are on top of it, especially in light of the PR for the new movie coming out.
