Interestingly enough, so was the "oops! I'm really a ghost!" ending, a long time before the movie was ever made! I wouldn't be that surprised if our friend, Mr. Shaymalan had seen this episode, because the twists in the show (no one ever speaks, or even looks at the protagonist, save one.....) are identical to that in the movie.
