We humans need : : that. Any how, I am american, and have chosen to leave the US, for various : : reasons, and am studying to be an english and history teacher. I have : : started my own theater group, because here in Bremen there is no english : : speaking theater, and there are alot of english speaking people. We have : : done four shows, so far and are trying to stick to comedy, because it goes : : over best ina climate where it rains all year!! Every year, I wrack my : : brains to think of the next piece. We have done God, and the Kathy and Mo : : Show, and Hitchhiker's Guide. But the first time I saw Dogma, my second : : thought (right after "this is the funniest and best criticical view of : : religion there has ever been") was I have to put this on stage. See there : : are very few people who know about your movies here inn Germany, at least : : in Bremen and there are several reasons why I'd like to do Dogma. It would : : help spread your name and films inthis area, although I know you are not : : dependent on little theater groups...... hmmm... I don't know. I guess I : : just wanted to ask. 've never done anything like this since I was in the : : seventh grade, when I wrote Johnny Depp a fan letter. I've never written : : another fan letter since, because I know they never really get to who they : : are supposed to get to. But this time it isn't a fan letter, so I thought : : I wold at least try. I am a fan don't get me wrong, a big one. Your films : : are truly unique, and as a Vonnegut and Robbins fan, how can one fail to : : live the cynical and cutting humor of your stuff! I know, you prbably get : : this shit all the itme, but I guess I thought i would try to appeal to your : : sense of starting out. I have this illusion that famous peope are just : : people. I lived in Sacramento for a very long time an dI know Cake, and : : Deftones and Korn, and they play here at huge festivals for gazillions of : : people, but to me, they're just people, two of whom failed calculus with : : me! You were starting out once too, and maybe you, unlike the deftones, : : have remained on the floor, with a small head, and stil have time for the : : little people. It would really help my group if we could do Dogma. I would : : adapt it for the stage, as I did Hitchhiker's, but I can only do it with : : your permission. I have done other shows, and not thought about rights, : : but you're different. i respect your work, and wanted to ask, and have : : permission. I hope I get.
