God, I fucking hate this town sometimes. What a way to start huh? Anyway, the town of my current ire is none other than Nashville, and here is my story of woe. So being the huge The State fan that I am, of course I take the first bit of money I have to spare and boogie my ass on out to go buy Wet Hot American Summer. Now my mind is a bit fried, but the DVD either came out this week or the one before, so it was real recent though. So I hit Best Buy and Media Play, you know the basic jumbo slurpie of electronic consumerism. It is not to be found at either store, no big deal really, I mean they are giany superstores it's not like they specialize in anything. So I pop over in the mall and hit Suncoast, movie central. So I'm looking, not seeing it. So I ask the guy there, the store manager and he just looks at me and goes, `Oh, I don't carry that`. Oh and the way he said it, I really almost snapped on his ass right there. I mean it's a new fucking release you can't even bring in a couple of copies, I mean this is a big fucking city, I'm sure someone other than me is also seeking this movie. So he offers to special order it for me and I say no, I'll just get it off Amazon.com and then he has the nerve to tell I should go to Suncoast.com instead. I was so super pissed off. Wanted to watch that movie the other day, but hopefully it will arrive tomorrow morning and all will be better.
On a slightly better note I picked up a Korean swordsman/martial arts style movie called `Buchinmoo`. If you are into that kind of thing, like crouching tiger-lite, it's a pretty good flick. I'd suggest renting it though as the DVD is all fucked up with technical goofs that hamper the experience. Such as being badly cropped( wtf, why no widescreen), and subtitles that at times go too fast for anyone to read properly. Ok, that's it for me.
