The guy made a video making fun of Affleck's substance troubles... then he posted it on the site of a guy who's directed Affleck, like, four times. When Lynch called him on the weirdness of that, he posted about it on Lynch's site...
So I don't think it was booze-related.
Just legit frustration with someone who made a stupid decision and won't back down from it.
