FINALLY, I have returned to the WWWBoard!

And you're probably all wondering where the heck I've been for the last while...or if you haven't, I'm gonna tell you anyways, because that's the kind of nice guy I am. I've been casting for my film (all done...casting that is) and doing the preproduction legwork. I got good news and bad news.

GOOD NEWS:
My director of photography got a D.V. camera we can shoot on. Yay! Now shooting the flick will be cheap!
The script is getting good reviews from people I know. Not "rave" reviews, just "Hey, this is funny stuff" reviews.
I'm going to Gulf Islands Film School for Spring Break, so when I return to my humble abode, I'll know a lot more about film than I do now...
I'm gonna join the local Society of Independent Filmmakers to get a discount on their swank editing facility ($15 Canadian per hour)

BAD NEWS:
When I'm finished my shooting and my editing, I gotta send my stuff away to Toronto for processing into 16mm...at $250 per minute of footage. Thankfully, the really nice people at the Society of Indepedent Filmmakers have lots of government arts grant forms...so, I'll just apply for as many as I can and hope that the Canadian government, masters of throwing money away, can throw some my way...
