: It would possibly be the one thing that tipped the balance about buying them (already have the videos). I'd forgotten how good films they were until they ran a season a short time ago. Spielberg is an idiot - what's the difference between commentary and the documentary they did when Jaws was re-released on its 25th Anniversary. If anything, it added to the magic. It certainly added to the interest.
: Must get Episode One - I should hear that explanation for Binks!

I totally agree! Though not all of the DVD commentaries out there are as priceless as those found on Kevin Smith DVDs (Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Dogma, and Clerks, as if you guys didn't already know!), they are still worth the time. For example, the Criterion edition of Armageddon is amazing, and not just because it's a Director's Cut of the movie. It has 2 audio commentary tracks, one with the actors and director, and one for the tech stuff. It's amazing! Any filmmaker would have to be stupid to deprive their audience of these treasures! What was Spielberg thinking???
