If people are hesitant to see a mixture of films (fans/VA) then even fewer would be willing to sit or pay for an all fan showing. In a more perfect world, we'd be able to set up a Project Greenlight-like site or something where fans submitting films could reveiw and select the best. The V-thon audience gets the best, the makers get their "day in court" before a judging of their peers. Just wish I knew how to make it happen???

: See, I think the idea of adding fan-made material to the Vulgarthon is still up in the air, and feedback like this is important. If most Thon-goers feel the same way you do, then Kevin may want to re-think the idea or shorten the amount of showtime that it gets...

: Here's another angle: What if there were a separate, smaller (read: Cheap or Free) event that takes place months before, showcasing various fan-made entries, and only the best of those were chosen to play at the actual Thon? This way, the supposed 'tons' of entries can be queued up and screened for a smaller but similar audience of interested parties, and only the best of those would be chosen to fill out a single slot at the Thon.

: Nice?
