: I loved "Mr. Show" to death...BUT, I also remember what "Brain Candy" did for The Kids In The Hall when it came out...a reasonably funny movie, I suppose, but it fell far short and hardly lived up to their fantastic comedic reputations, if at all...essentially it was a half-funny, inadequate capper to the era of KITH...
Man, I love "Brain Candy". It's not perfect, but it's got some amazingly funny things that rival the series, and without those weird, often not-funny but always interesting skits that they used to end each episode with.
: I fear the same would happen to "Mr. Show," and as such I wouldn't want to see them take their creations to the big screen, just like I think the proposed Tenacious D film is a bad idea...or if someone wanted to do a "Strangers With Candy" or "Upright Citizens Brigade" film...let's just let the good ones die strong...
UCB is doing a movie too. The point is, though, that the movie is made and they're not releasing it. (Also, for the record, the Kids in the Hall broke up and came back together to do the movie, where Mr. Show merely left the air. So that's quite different too.)
