I met Mr. Backlund once at a WWF show. He autographed my "Vote Backlund in 2000" shirt. I've actually met a lot of wrestlers: Jake Roberts, Brutus Beefcake, Dory Funk, Jr., to name but a few. There are two kinds. There are really nice, very fan friendly ones. And then there are pompus egomaniacs who believe their own press. When I first met Brutus Beefcake (during the mid 80's) he was a collossal prick. When I met him again a few months ago, he was much cooler. I guess falling away from the national scene and doing indy shows in small towns again has humbled him a bit.
Nice to see I'm not the only fan on the board!
