If it's your favorite movie, shouldn't that actually be a bigger factor?
Besides, the movie might have been produced for less money than most anything else, that doesn't mean the DVD was produced and distributed for less than anything else.
That said, if you bother to go somewhere worthwhile, you shouldn't have to pay more than $30 for it. Anymore than you should for the dozens of other movies - like many Criterion Collection films - priced in that range.
