: : Andee's stuff in my humble opinion has some funny parts but looks like it was made with a web cam. I thought some of his stuff was fun and others were too long. If he want to make a parody of Stormin Norman that is fine. No harm done, you can see that stuff on SNL or MADTv any time.
: : I would not say that I flipped out. It takes much more than that to flip me out. Any how immitation is the highest form of flatery.

: That's nice, you can see Parodies on SNL or MADTV? Isn't that a little general? That's like saying, you can see comedy on SNL and you made a comedy skit. I didn't steal anything from them but your schtick has been done 9 million times. Immitation is flattery when you're immitating someone because you like the idea, a parody pokes fun at something.....maybe even sometimes because the person doing the parody likes it, maybe not......in this case, not. I have no problem with being civil though.....

: As far as the look of my video, yeah I use a sony mini dv with bad lighting, usually in my room....if it doesn't look great it must really be the lighting.....the sony trv 30 is excellent.....I saw that mini handheld thing you use, is that what you use for all of your clips? Another thing, not to criticize, but how come your video clips are like 40 MB? Is it because of the graphics and stuff at the beginning? I get mine down to 5 megs on quicktime, even if they're about 3 or 4 minutes long. Maybe that's why the quality isn't up to par. I can't have people wait 2 years to watch a clip though, your videos made tons of people crash....

The size of the file is directly related to the quality of the video and the titles and 3D CG in them. It also matters what settings I use on Media Cleaner 5.1.

Also sound plays a part in the size of the file. It depends if I use CD quality or 8 bit mono.

The camera that you saw at V3 was a Sony DCR-PC5 with a Zeiss lens. The Stormin Norman Show is filmed using either 2 Canon XL1s cameras, a Sony TRV 900, or a Sony VX 2000 camera. Some of the cameras I will just sit off to the side to do sound captures or close up shot. I sometimes use the Sony DSR-PC5 for macro shots or close ups too. Usually I have an Arri light kit set up and now that I got a bluescreen I will start to use that and do some Chroma key work.

I used to edit the films on Adobe Premiere 6.0 but now I am more into using Final Cut Pro 3, Adobe After Effects, and AlamDV from www.alamdv.com

Plus I just bought a new Mac Titanium Laptop G4, 48 Gig HDD, DVD/CDR Combo drive with a gig of RAM just for editing. I have 3 other Macs back at the ATFM office.

Hope that answers your question, Andee
