: The car scene with the camera going back and forth, back and forth, I could have done without, really hurt the film in my opinion but not bad enough to make it a huge impact. I see were Kevin's humor comes from which lead onto Mallrats, the concept of the two male leads from Clerk to Mallrats didn't change, their "state of minds", the humor changed, the storyline changed, but ultimately I have the fibe they were the same. I really thought J. Anderson shinned, while Brian's performance was a little lackluster, wasn't there for me ultimately it felt that he was reading lines and wasn't the actual character. I will get bashed for saying this but Jason Mewes, of all people. I felt his character could have been much better, now at the time he wasn't actually written as the "Jay" of today but Jason Mewes talent was under utilized, that's right Jason Mewes talent was under utilized. I also disliked the idea of the ending going nowhere, your movie told the story, then it shut off, but Kevin Smith's writing abilities aren't based on ending a script with a stellar ending so I will let that go. Overall thumbs up and I am suprised, BTW, before I became a Kevin Smith fan I watched the film and turned it off. I didn't understand alot of the theory and methods, then someone told me watch the others and you'll get it. I did and I did, but fuck never do a film in black and white because you never know it could turn out to be something you never thought it could be.
