I wasn't really talking about the greatness of the songs as much as the sound. "Power Ballad" says, "long-winded, lots-of-guitar, all-spaces-filled" to me...not acoustic sing-alongs with tambourines.
The 80's WERE fun...in a "I had a great time, but don't want to go back there" kinda way.
