Before junior year of college, my longest relationship had been three weeks. And I mean I was notorious for it. When I reached three weeks, my friends threw me a "bachelor party" celebrating my new found commitment (which resulted in my ending the relationship 3 DAYS later!). In junior year I met a girl who scared me...she made me feel like I belonged there, in that relationship. Of course being the stupid guy that I am, rather than tell her any of that, at the 4 month mark I tried to break up with her. Literally called her up one night and said "Yea I don't think this is working..." because I was terrified at the prospect that I was falling for this girl. She responded by saying that it was fine, I could break up with her if I gave her a good reason. As I stammered and stuttered for the next twenty minutes to get somehting out, I finally blurted out somehting that changed my life. I was rambling, not saying anything and then out of no where shouted "Because I love you and it fuckin scares me...". And then I went silent and she said it back and the next thing I knew I was in a 2 year relationship. Since then, I realized that its nothing to be afraid of...in fact its absolutely amazing. Even despite losing her and all, I still a no longer afraid of it. It takes a person like her to make you realize how dumb it is to be afraid of love. But just hearing it from your friends means nothing, you have to experience it. I've rambled long enough
: i didnt read the posts from yesterday.....but im just curious....is anyone here scared to be in love? just scared that their gonna get hurt so they dont let themselves love. or when it does happen...it freaks u out to the point where u wanna run away?
