For every story like that, there is one like this (condensed version):
Boy meets girl (or vice versa). They have an amazing evening together. I mean the kind of evening that you see in bad Hugh Grant movies (thats redunadant aren't all Hugh Grant movies bad?) and by the next morning the two of you are convinced this is kismet. It was written in the stars for you two to be together. You each have baggage...maybe he lives in a different place or your families wouldn't approve or in my case, you are kind of seeing someone else. But you are sure this is love and so you ignore the circumstances...you move or break up with the other person or say Fuck Off to your families. And the first two weeks amybe even two months are story book : never want to be apart, sex is better than you have ever had, ever free minute spent with each other. And then "the other shoe drops" (to borrow a line), you start to notice each others foibles or the minutia of each others personality. Maybe its her incessant babytalk or his complete lack of cleanliness. These are the things that you don't see in those early stages but then all of a sudden they are all you see. Soon you can't stand to be around each other and you count the minutes until you go to work or look forward to dentists appointments as an excuse to get away. And in the end you hate each other so passionately that not only do you break up but in the process screw each other up emotionally. Sadly I have been there and I can tell you a hundred more stories like it...sad to say (even sadder to quote) "Sometimes love just ain't enough". Don't rush it, if its meant to be, it will work out
What a liar, this wasn't condensed at all!
