Throwing Copper is a great album, I would say it is one of the most diffinitive (sp?) albums of the area of 1994 - 1997. When music was good and there wasn't any no talent ass clown boy bands, just Micheal Bolton. But now Ska is back to the underground.. and College Rock (aka emo or emotional punk) is gaining speed.
my top albums. This does not include classics like all of Pink Floyd's stuff, etc. They are classics and on everyones list.
1. Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic (love all there stuff, but this is there high point of good albums before the drugs killed them, and the 80's made them a hair band
2. Toasters - hard Band for Dead
3. Dance Hall Crasher - LockJaw - great 3rd wave ska album.
4. Mustard Plug - Big Daddy Mulititude
5. Blues Traveler - Four
6. Dave Matthews Band - Under the Table and Dreaming
7. Dharma Sons - Live Bootleg (local pgh band, great driving cd)
8. The Clarks - Someday Maybe (national pgh band, great driving cd)
9. Letters to Cleo - Whole Sale Meats and Fish (drives hard almost all album)
10. PieTasters - Strapped Live - only song it is missing is maggie may
11. Sarah McLauclan - Surfacing - yea.. i went to lilith fair, and was looked at like i was the devil since i was male. oh, and almost got busted by the feds (yea, the feds) for bootlegging
12. BareNaked Ladies - Live cd
13. Save Ferris - It means Everthing
14 Spies - Music of Espionage - great late 80's acid jazz, the liner notes has warnings it will blow out subs, it will, i blew out 2 in a theatre running it for a sound test. trace 3 is all about bass
15. Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine - fuck you, I won't do what you tell me
16. Dashboard Confessional - Place that you fear the most - should be higher, but i forgot about it
17. Led Zepplin - the BBC sessions
18. Let's Go Bowling - Music to Bowl By
19. Natalie Merchant - Tigerlily
20. Wierd Al - Running with Scissors - Its all about the pentiums, baby.
21. Digital Underground - Sex Packets - land mark rap cd that is overlooked by many people
22. The Get Up Kids - Four Minute Mile - in a perfect world, this would have Mass. Pike on it.
23. The Gathering Field - lost in america
24. Pilfers - Pilfers - self titled, indepedent release.
25. Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Ska, the Devil and More
