After FINALLY buying Chasing Amy (along with Clerks and the Uncensored toons) I read in the liner notes (as I had suspected) that Holden is most like Kevin of any Askewniverse character. From that statement, I have a question about "...Strike Back".

In the scene where Jay & Silent Bob go see Holden, he rhetorically asks why he would want to keep writing about guys primarily occupied with "dick-and-fart jokes". Was this line intentionally written to be Kevin's kind way of justifying through his counterpart character, Holden, the "closing of the book" on the Askewniverse? Or is this just a coincidental offshoot of the many parallels the movie makes between reality and the VA's own fictional world?

Or do I babble? :-) Whatever the answers, I'm glad to see Kevin moving forward, and though I love the existing flicks, I hope his future successes dwarf his past ones.
