...assuming he's willing to answer a question posted by a random fan.... Okay, so, I'm primarily a writer, but I think I have some vision in the visual arts. First of all, I have no real experience in theatrics, well, nothing beyond a supporting role in a high school play, back when I was in such an institution. Anyway, I think I have very cool, and innovative ideas. Okay, so I pander to my own ego, but don't we all? But still, I consider myself a good writer. My question is this: would I be better off just trying to sell an idea to Hollywood, and then to write it off (as in forget I ever conceived the idea), or should I try to make my own movie? I can see advantages to both sides, but I have to admit that I have such a big ego that I feel that I could direct a better movie than Hollywood could make, but, then again, couldn't a brain-dead chimpanzee do at least that well? Or is there an option I have failed to recognize? Well, any such advise would be appreciated.
