: You've all lost sight of the old fashioned method of WORKING YOUR WAY UP. Not EVERYONE can sell it all and make a movie. That's the WORST fucking advice I've ever heard. As Kevin Smith as it is, you know how many movies go into film festivals every year? You know how many go nowhere? How many people lose money and never wind up doing what they want?

: It may be in fashion to do independant movies, but I'm serious about persuing writing as a career, I have been since I was old enough to put together coherent story lines. And if moving to Los Angeles and getting an agent *there* is what it'll take, then fine. Independant movies may be the most satisfying of routes, but it's definately the riskiest. You'll lose 3 or 4 thousand dollars in a failed move to LA. You'll lose god knows how much in a failed movie.

: That's my two cents. Fuckit. Spend it all in one place.
