: I live in Denmark where some Danish director's have come up with a Dogma pact (no nothing to do with Kevin's Dogma film :). If a director whants to make a Dogma film, he must agree to not use any artificial ligthing, sound, effects ect. Thereby putting complete focus on the carecters and the story. I think Kevin would be ideal for making a Dogma film (actually Clerks was almost a Dogma film ;).
They also say you can't bring in any sort of props at all unless they're directly related to the story, and even then you have to first try to find place where they would already be. Plus you have to shoot on video (which helps the natural lighting), not add any music (which Kevin always does so well, except "Dogma" has mostly a score not a soundtrack, but even scores are out), all kinds of crazy rules that make it silly. The idea is good, though. it seems to me like if you can raise the money to shoot your film on 35, you should.
