By the time he's age 17, his parents are already dead, so he's not going to be the spoiled rich kid he started out as (who, I think, would have identified a lot with Lex). Don't know that he'd like Clark all that much either.

I think both ideas are bad, the one of having him actually come to Smallville is the far worse of the two. I had heard of the Young Bruce Wayne as a mystery type of show, which sounded interesting, and certainly better than Smallville.
