It was a tight race judging by the numbers, but the solid winner with 54% was everybody's favorite SW Novel character Grand Admiral Thrawn (though for EpII he'd probably be a Captain or soemthing). Is this fucking cool or what? I bet Timothy Zahn would be happy.

That means during the Empire's rule he was working up the ranks, but not before that. And Episode IV starts with the Empire just becoming a monarchy.
