Aren't Jay and Silent Bob's characters just Garth and Wayne from and evil parallel universe? Where Garth is a bad mouth and very latent, and where Silent Bob isn't witty all the time, but still logical with his flavor saver, and never gets the girl, unless she's drunk enough after an award ceremony.
