In Clerks, Jay was working, or "dealing". And he knows it's not a good idea to mix business and pleasure. Witch is why he waits until the day is over to "...get ripped and get laid"
In Mallrats, all the chicks were taken. Brodie and Rene, TS and Brandi, and Silent Bob and Gwen (you know Bob barged in on her on purpose, and you know she liked it). So again no ass for jay.
In Chasing Amy, he saw how women fucked up all his friends lives. So in his wisdom he decided to stay clear of chicks to protect his friendship with Silent Bob.
And in Dogma, well he tried to hook up with Bethany. But he wasn't in love with her enough to "not stick his hand down her pants", wich is why he makes vulgar passes at her throughout the flick.....
So finnaly he meets the bitch of his dreams in his final adventure. A long time cuming, I mean coming.

: I don't see many things about love on here and probably for a reason. But I feel strongly that at least one person should make a statement about love. So it's me. I am madly in love with Kevin Smith! Even though he's married and I'm married. He's an incredable actor, director, and person from what I can tell. Jen is extremley lucky to be his wife. Because if he were single, and I were single, I'd be all over it! Secondly, why did Jay have to wait five movies to find the Ms. Right he's been looking for? He's cute, he's charming, he's a smartass...every quality a girl would want! (At least I would)...can anyone answer that???
