: All this talk about making a movie out of a book made me wonder...what are some of, or THE best book you have ever read?
Harry Harrison had a series about a criminal in a mechanized/computerized world. Very funny, rage against the machine kind of thing. Then it turns in to To Catch a Thief. Bizarre plot shifts revolving around the power of allusions vs perception, and what would you do to get by with something if you were fighting someone who is truly evil? Fluffy, fun stuff.
But my favorite book it The Bean Trees. Or The Mysteries of Pittsburgh.
