Now, I'm sure like many before me, you, Kevin SMith, have gotten tons of ass kissing e-mails, letters etc... THIS IS NO DIFFERENT! Well, Save that it's someone new.
I've been a fan of yours since Clerks, and god knows how many times i have seen that movie. It was PURE GENIOUS! And all the following films were great too. Especially the last installment of the ASKEWNIVERSE J&SBSB. I can honestly say that your sense of humor is just not understood by all those critics out there. Sucks to be them. Out of all of your movies, Chasing Amy was a great all around movie. It had heart, and it had wonderful dialogue and comedy, and some aspects of it really hit close to home. But CLERKS is an all time great, as well as everything else. NOw i have to ask a few questions.
1). Now that the Askewniverse is done with, what are your plans for future movies? Any more comedies, or are you gonna touch more serious subjects.
2) I had a debate about this with someone i used to work with that came from Jersey. He first off says he's talked to you and says that Dogma has nothing to do with the rest of the Askewniverse movies. I of course knew he was full of shit and defended my case. His response was that Rick Derris was never mentioned in the movie. Of course, we all know that he was never mentioned verbally but "DERRIS" Was seen on the bus station ticket window when Bartleby and Loki were trying to get tickets to Jersey. At any rate, Who is right here? Me or my buddy?
3)What happened to Jay's little speach from J&SBSB Outside the diner "I'd like to give a big gay thanks on behalf of all gay people. ANd i'm gonna tell all my gay friends that utah is a gay friendly country for gays who are gay" Now i have i idea why it never made it to the final cut of the film "G.L.A.D."? But it would have been great to see in the DVD :o) (Not like i'm complaining or anything)
Well, THat's all i have to say for now. Just want to say Thank You for all the wonderful movies you've made so far. I think it's time for me and my friends to get together hand have a "Jay and Silent Bob-Athon".
