I love Kurosawa. THE SEVEN SAMURAI, RASHOMON, DRUNKEN ANGEL, THRONE OF BLOOD, IKIRU, HIGH & LOW, DERSU USALA, RED BEARD, KAGEMUSHU... all absolutely brilliant. Funny, poignant, truthful, rich, entertaining, damn near perfect.

I love "Red Harvest" by Dashiell Hammett. Great pacing, kick ass storytelling and the Continental Op rocks.

I can't for the life of me care about YOJIMBO, except for a few moments of Toshiro Mifune being cool, there's just nothing much there. It just seems shallow and, well, long.
