Vincent -- you hate 'The Ice Storm'? How come?

Some films, I can understand why people might passionately hate them. I've got plenty myself, particularly in the often wankily morose Social Realist Drama category. But 'The Ice Storm' has always struck me as a pretty damned fine example of the filmmaking craft. It's one of the few films that actually 'moved' me; 'Requiem For A Dream' being the only other one that springs to mind right now.

I was just wondering what your beef was with it.
