I would start by saying clerks is my favorite of the films, even though it doesn't have Jason Lee (he is fuckin harsh)(I quote DOGMA, I'm not a one movie junkie, I have the whole View Askew Collection, Including Drawing Flies and the cartoons). But anyway, I bought the DVD and I must say that I really enjoyed the alternate ending more than the final cut of the end for the movie. I can see why you wouldn't want to kill the main character, but I believe that the alternate ending ties in much better with the concept of the movie. It fits both with Dante's perception of his inability to control his future, which plays a key role in the film, and with the idea of all the things that wouldn't have happened had he not come into work on that fabled Saturday (the whole "I'm not even supposed to be here today" mentality). I would appreciate some insight into why you chose to nix the alternate ending and go the way you did. But either way, the movie is still sweet, way to go on making an actual piece of filmmaking instead of just a film. That takes talent.

P.S.- "The Flying Car", very nice, I laughed my ass off
