Well, if you live in the DC metro area, you can see it projected in my apartment. Our screen is 100 inches diagonally, and we use a pretty decent video projector as out TV. And sound - no problem ;)
It's not the same as seeing it in a theatre, but it's darn close, and you can pause it, not have to pay for snacks, and smoke all the pot you can bring ;)
In fact, if anyone in the DC area wants to chill and see the movies "projected" just respond to my email address and we'll plan a little New Jersey in DC party! And if Vincent wants to come and give live commentary, then he's more than welcome.
I'm very serious about this. We could have a mini-Vulgar-thon. It's about time we Smith and Askew fans get together and have some fun. And if you haven't seen A Better Place, then this is your chance.
: Okay, I know I've bugged you twice already today about the sound
: track for J&SBSB. But now that I've been thinking about it, I have a
: ABP question for you.
: First, let me say I loved the film. I have not yet taken the time to throw
: some praise your way, so let me give some richly deserved props
: first. I'm one of the lucky 1000 (#478 to be precise) to have a copy of
: the DVD with film clippings from the Stash. The DVD was, however,
: my first experience of the film.
: Here's my question:
: If you were invited to exhibit ABP at a cinema, what print would you be
: able to provide the projectionist? In other words, was a 35mm print
: of the director's cut with Dolby Digital sound created in conjunction
: with the creation of the DVD, is there a 16mm print of the Festival
: circuit that you use or none of the above?
: I hope I get the chance to see this film projected someday, either
: way.
: Thanks again.
