That's actually a pretty good question -- I'm not 100% sure on this, but I seem to remember hearing that Kevin was going to make Clerks 2 but then realized how bad of an idea it was and just turned the ideas for Clerks 2 into what is now Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Like I said, I'm not 100% sure if it's true or not, but it does kind of fit Kevin Smith's M.O. -- he originally planned on having the scar scene (spoof of Jaws) that was in Amy in Mallrats, but it didn't work out for one reason or another. I'm not saying Kevin isn't capable of making up new bits or anything, I'm sure we'll see anything else he had for Clerks 2 in the Clerks Cartoon Movie -- I'm saying that he knows better than to waste good shit.
