Yeah, so there I was. Trying to get my cable modem set up and calling the 800 number I had for those people... wonder of modern technology the automated voice sysytem redirects your call to a supposed 24-hour hotline. I actually just started calling cablevision locations at random until I got one in the Bronx that referred me to an actual NJ line where I could speak to an actual technician... seems the MAC address was disabled at the factory when it went in for refurb and they had to reactivate it on the system... on top of that the people at the Wiz had reportedly entered the wrong one at the store. All this after writing a nasty email to their customer service site saying how much they suck but let me say eating my own words never tasted so sweet.
