Comic Book Conventions?

I live in Illinois and I want to make it up to Wizardcon in Chicago. I know that it is supposed to be in the middle of July, and yet I can't find anything on the net about where it will be held and what artists are supposed to be attending or anything. IF anyone knows anything, drop me a line. I have never attended a comic convention before. And I am hoping for it to be one hell of an experience.
