Peter Parker's age? *OT*

I thought yous guys might be able to help me out on this one. I just saw a trailer for the new Spiderman flick. The person beside me said "that guy looks way too young to be Spiderman". I didn't think so myself,,,but i couldnt remember Peter Parker's age. How old was he when he was bit? How old was he when he was in his prime? Does anyone know these answers for sure?
