: I doubt it was that Wesley was old so much as they wanted to do things that were impossible for a human to do. Run up walls, jump super high, get smashed through a wall, that kinda thing.
I was talking about the simple hand to hand combat. They were continuously switching camera views. I don't think I ever once saw Snipes actually hit some one in one fluent movement. It was always split up into multiple views. When I see someone punch someone else, I just need to see it from one view, not three.
: I really didn't notice the CGI at all. It didn't bother me. Maybe you should work for an FX department, you seem to be really concerned with that kinda thing.
The hole thing when they went into the hole, and then came back out, that was not needed. When they were moving from one part of the house to the other, I thought that was good. I just didn't like how he took every chance he could to use CG.
: As for the dialog, I thought it was fine, and I didn't think the ending was bad at all, it resolved everything nicely. The audience I saw it with actually applauded a few times.
The dialog was awful. "It's disgusting how much I love you." That was so bad I cringed. I don't want to ruin the movie for others who might see it, but I have an idea for a better ending which would have left me happier.
: Neat, but I liked DEATH TO SMOOCHY. However, I also liked THE PANIC ROOM, so maybe we don't have the same tastes.
I wanted to see this movie since I found out that Edward Norton was in it. I still want to see, but I think I can wait til it comes out on DVD.
