As I recall, Iron Maiden was a band largely appreciated for their technical merit by overweight guys who couldn't get laid (5th grade or not) - hence all the comic-book-like album covers and wonderful harmony vocal stylings..

Aces High Forever!!

: I recently moved and discovered all my old tapes. And I apparently have never gotten rid of any of them. I found this old, taped-up box with music I haven't listened to since junior high (and since there's such a large number of youngsters here, let me specify that was around 87/88).

: When I was in 5th grade I thought Iron Maiden was the pinnacle of the shit. So in this box I found the first one, Killers, The Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, and Powerslave. Well folks, some of that kinda sounds like plain old shit to me now. For whatever reason, Bruce Dickinson's vocals irritate me now. He sucks. Sorry if you think he doesn't. But the first two albums (Iron Maiden & Killers) with the original vocalist, Paul Di'Anno(?) are still good. Just thought you'd all be very interested in this.
